Ingredients:
Larger batches save time, use a good quality blanco tequila (not aged/golden), it makes a huge difference to the final drink.
50ml tequila
30ml Cointreau / triple sec
30ml lime juice
20ml hot sauce
10ml sugar syrup (optional)
finishing salt- (spicy salty rim)
Method:
- Pour finishing salt on a small flat plate, rub the entire rim of the glass with fresh lime. Dip the glass rim into the salt and ensure your rim is nice and salty. Please don’t waste the remaining salt on the plate let it dry naturally and pop it back into the tin for future use.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with all liquid ingredients & ice, shake well for 1 minute minimum.
- Strain the liquid into the glass & enjoy.
